Short-Term Study Abroad Program

This program creates an opportunity for primary and secondary school students in China to engage in short-term study and exchange in Australia. Participants will visit Australian primary and secondary schools as well as universities, interact with local Australian students, and partake in English language learning during their holidays. They will also have excursions to beaches and wildlife parks, and enjoy activities at luxury theme parks, Sea World, and Movie World. Cities included in the itinerary are Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. The program typically lasts between 14 and 28 days.

Here is an example itinerary for a 14-day program:

Route: China — Brisbane — Gold Coast — Sydney — China

  1. Day 1

    Arrive at Brisbane International Airport.
    Travel by luxury coach to Mt Coot-tha and Southpark Parklands in Brisbane.
    Noon
    Lunch at Southpark WANG DYNASTY.
    1:00 pm
    Meet the host family at Surfers Paradise bus station.
    Dinner with the host family.

  2. Day 2

    Breakfast with the host family.
    8:30 am
    The host parent drives students to school.
    8:45 am
    Welcome ceremony, followed by English lessons.
    12:15 pm
    Packed lunch provided by the host family.
    1:00 pm
    Practical English at Australia Fair, learning about the post office, banks and shops.
    3:30 pm
    The host parent collects students from school.
    Dinner with the host family.

  3. Day 3

    Breakfast with the host family.

    Travel by car to Tallebudgera Beach for an Australian barbecue lunch and free time at the beach.

    Full-day visit to Sea World.

  8. Day 8

    Sunday: Full-day Brisbane excursion, including a sheep-shearing demonstration and barbecue lunch.

    Breakfast with the host family.

    The host parent drives students to school.

    Packed lunch provided by the host family.

    Practical English through ice skating and a visit to learn about local secondary education.

    Travel by luxury coach to Brisbane International Airport and depart for Sydney.
    Full-day Sydney highlights tour, including the Opera House, Darling Harbour, Olympic stadium and Chinatown.
    Dinner in Chinatown.

  14. Day 14

    Breakfast.
    Travel by luxury coach to Sydney International Airport.
    Depart for China.
