High School Preparation Program (HSP) – The High School Preparation Program (HSP) is an English enhancement course designed to help students prepare for mainstream high school courses. Students can improve their English language skills and professional language abilities while developing the study skills required for subjects such as mathematics, science, technology, sociology, and literature.

Primary and Secondary Education

Australia’s primary and secondary education emphasizes nurturing students’ individual abilities. A key feature of the educational approach is to help students discover and cultivate their various potentials. Australian high school courses (Years 7-12) focus on developing students academically, personally, and socially. The advanced courses offered in the final two years of secondary school are designed to prepare students for university, public technical colleges, or private institutions. Studying in Australian schools not only equips students with knowledge in English but also familiarises them with the Australian educational style, providing a solid foundation for future university studies.

Most primary and secondary schools in Australia are day schools, where students attend classes during the day and return home after school. There are also boarding schools, mostly private, which offer accommodation on campus. Schools generally assist international students in arranging homestays with local families in Australia. Schools operate five days a week, from Monday to Friday, with daily schedules varying slightly depending on the school, but generally running from around 9 AM to 3 PM.

• Who can apply to study in Australian schools?

If you are a school student (but not participating in a secondary school student exchange program), you must be aged 6 or older to apply for a student visa and come to Australia for education. You must also be:

• less than 17 years old when you begin Year 9
• less than 18 years old when you begin Year 10
• less than 19 years old when you begin Year 11
• less than 20 years old when you begin Year 12

The tuition fees range from approximately AUD 18,000 to 30,000 per year, depending on the school and grade level.

VET, Undergraduate and postgraduate education

For students who come from non-English speaking countries and wish to pursue further studies at an Australian university after graduating from high school, applicants must provide an IELTS Academic test score of at least 5. The IELTS test requires a smaller vocabulary and is more oriented towards everyday life, making it easier to master. Therefore, achieving a score of 5 on the IELTS is not difficult. If a student’s IELTS Academic test score reaches 6.5, we will directly arrange their admission to an Australian university. Such students only need to inform us of the field they wish to study and their family’s financial situation, and we will comprehensively consider and select the appropriate institution for them. If a student’s IELTS Academic test score is only 5 or their English proficiency is temporarily inadequate, we will arrange for them to attend a university foundation course or an intensive English course first. Once they meet the requirements for admission to an Australian university, we will then arrange for them to choose the appropriate university and major.

The cost of attending a vocational school in Australia is approximately AUD 10,000-15,000 per year, and the tuition fee for a university course averages between AUD 4,000-5,500 per subject.
